  • Local businesses partner with us to sell "Dead People, Crazy People, Drugs and Politicians," despite it's growing controversy

There are times on this journey of selling books that I'm completely perplexed about people. The book has been PROHIBITED from being sold at multiple markets, bookstores, and even flatly rejected by the library in my own community. On the other hand, I have been invited on extremely popular radio shows, interviewed on the evening news, and have quite a few speaking engagements lined up. It was pretty fitting that my devotional of the day had the passage "the light has come into the world, and the people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil." It's good that we put the warning label on the book. It's dangerous. People better buy them while they still can! Thankfully we can now direct you to a few local places that are selling our book. Please stop in if you are in the area.

  • D.A. Collin Sims elected in the wake of Warren Montgomery's passing

Last night was a great evening on the journey that we have been on in rooting out corruption in St Tammany Parish. With the death of Warren Montgomery, we found ourselves at a crossroads with the easy path leading back to the darkness of the past or the more difficult path leading to a new vista having more light and better opportunities. While no one is perfect, when one has character and isn't compromised, it's more likely that they will achieve success. The paths were clear yesterday. Thankfully, the few voters of St Tammany who showed up chose the best option for all of us. Pictured with the District Attorney Elect Collin Sims is Concerned Citizens of St Tammany  President Rick Franzo. Rick's tireless leadership and laser focus on good government has provided fertile ground for the growth of effective leadership and efficient government. Congratulations Collin Sims and Rick Franzo! It's good to have a steady hand at the helm.

  • Happy Easter

It’s been two weeks since the launch of Dead People, Crazy People, Drugs and Politicians and what a crazy ride it has been. I’ve had a couple radio shows and made a presentation at the Rotary Club of Slidell, where it all began. I’ve also scheduled some more presentations and we’re scheduling some more media coverage so things are going well with publicity. It was very uplifting. I’m very excited about out upcoming delivery to the legislature in Baton Rouge. The primary driver of this book was to document the corruption in St Tammany Parish and provide an impetus for change. The current structure of Article V of the Louisiana Constitution has virtually no oversight provisions for the justice branch, except for the Judicial Review Board which keeps all of their information confidential. We need to change that and the only way to change it is to get permission from the legislature to allow parishes to create an office of inspector general if they wish or create state agencies to provide oversight similar to the Legislative Auditor’s Office or the Louisiana Office of Inspector General. We plan to send a letter with a copy of the book to every legislator and other key people. The letter isn’t critical of anyone. It is a simple request asking for permission for the citizens of St Tammany Parish to have the opportunity to police their own, following the old adage “Inspect what you Expect!” We were very fortunate in the district attorney race that people chose to embrace the new path that was started by Warren Montgomery. His death left a huge hole in the justice system in St Tammany and he will be greatly missed for many reasons. Collin Sims will have his hands full as he takes the reins and moves forward with his agenda, but he is quite competent as he has demonstrated. I’m sure that he learned just how dark some of the forces are that were aligned against him. They won’t be going away so it is important to remain vigilant. There has also been a resurgence of interest in the St Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office. Unfortunately, there was very little interest in the job and the only person who qualified to run has some questionable baggage, but he was found not guilty and it appears that he is willing to make many substantive changes to improve the agency. Had he been allowed to have a normal transition, things may have been less acrimonious. It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope that all of you have a blessed Easter! Terry King

  • Dr. Tape takes role at Coroner's office 2024 despite controversy

Sometimes the more things change the more they stay the same. I sincerely hope that Dr Tape is able to put the St Tammany Parish Coroner's Office on a good path.

  • Terry's Blog - March 16, 2024

Sometimes,  I wonder what I should post on this page, but a recent development has provided me with the opportunity to show how our process works in real time. I've attached a post that was recently made about a DA candidate's abuse of office in his capacity as counsel for the St Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. His family member is involved in a criminal matter involving a sex crime.  Allegedly,  it isn't his first one, either. However both occurred while juvenile protections were in place so the records aren't available. We found out about it because family members of the victim,  law enforcement officers,  and others were outraged so one of my associates sent in a public records request.  After weeks of delays and unfulfilled promises by the AGs office,  they finally came through with the attached acknowledgement that they were doing an investigation which also confirms that the STPSO suppressed the investigation. Unfortunately,  none of this is unusual.  The same STPSO intentionally botched the Nannette Krentel murder investigation and the investigation into the DWI boating death of Walter Reed’s son. However,  it gets worse when one considers the unlikely circumstances of the death of Brett Wittner in Washington Parish or the death of Cara Wilkinson in St Tammany,  to name but a few. There doesn't seem to be a lot of motivation to  handle cases involving the connected people so it requires making public statements showing the evidence to stoke the anger of the public. If Vincent Wynne happens to be successful in this election,  his term will be extended into prison and maybe I'll write another book!
